They were two of the most influential American artists of the early 20th century. With her paintings of flowers, New York cityscapes and New Mexico landscapes, Georgia O’Keeffe was recognized as the “Mother of American modernism.” Alfred Stieglitz, the first to introduce the art of Rodin, Picasso and Matisse in America, was known as “The Father of Artistic Photography.”
